Roy did the right thing as well as you. My policy is simple, even though I have a brick & mortar store, once work starts we have an "issue". If the work hadn't started you would be given a full refund minus Paypal charges or shipping charges if any, and we all go on with our lives. After the work is started we are both committed. Your taking at least one of them is appropriate and a restocking fee on the second is also, exactly the way you worked it out. Kudos

The hat in my avatar is actually worn by Tom Hiddleston in "I Saw The Light," a movie about Hank Williams. I ordered the Justified hat from Roy and asked him to match the hat in the avatar. Roy should be shipping the hat this week and I'll report back when it arrives.
You might need to lean on moderator RBH's memory but there are threads here about that movie and the role that Buckaroo Hatters had in supplying hats for it.

That's a Nice Looking Hat ! And yeah Mike Moore at Buckaroo Hatters supplied all the Hats in the Movie (30-45 Mins from me) . What crease is that ? Just from what I can see it looks like a Horseshoe , but its probably a cattleman . Sharp Hat .

This is why I have a 50% non refundable down payment because I am a small hat maker and can't really afford to be buying felt and materials to have a hat that will sit on my shelf for who knows how long.
