Well, I've seen boater's in milan but the the weave is mostly a thicker, wider straw ribbon.
Milan's are a lot more supple, boater straw is a bit harder.

Oh and in Flemish we call this type a hat a tits btw...

I'm not a boater expert by any means, i just love the look of them.

Mine is a vintage florentine.

Jeff - thanks! This is my third attempt at a Stetson 100. The others were nice hats but didn't work for me, so I passed them along. I think this one is a keeper.

Roger - it doesn't get much better than beer and a steak in the Stockyards.
