Aero black FQHH -- Nickel or Brass zips..?

Still working through fit jackets here, but will one way or another end up with a black FQHH Aero, probably a Half Belt with zip sleeves. So am thinking of options (instead of doing my work!). What do you all think about nickel vs brass for a black jacket? Nickel is more standard of course, and looks great, but I've recently gotten a taste for the more unusual brass.

Would love to see pics of both...

All my black leather jackets have brass zips and the only style on which I would consider nickel is a perfecto style rocker jacket. I feel nickel doesn't look as nice on broken in, aged leather.

Regarding your jacket choice, if you pick a HB, I would recommend you buttoned cuffs and ask Aero to sew on a second button for actual fastening (Aeros button cuffs are only cosmetical on default, with no second button to actually make use of the feature). I think it will look smoother than a hybrid HB/CR with zip sleeves and serve its purpose just as well.

I actually prefer nickel on black jackets, but i do have a Cafe Racer with a antique brass zipper and i really like it. I think if i were to order another black jacket i would probably order it with brass, just for a change...
Its a personal choice, they all look good, just pick one...

My recent black Vicenza Sheene has antique brass hardware, no zippers on the handwarmer pockets, and olive cotton drill lining throughout. Probably my favorite jacket of all time.

I... gotta admit I prefer brass. Currently, my only jacket with brass hardware x black leather is Langlitz but yeah, I think brass only does good by it.

As a wearer of a stainless watch which I prefer to gold or even goldalike. I go with Nickel for black, brass for brown as most of my accessories are usually coded. Brown boots brown jacket brown or tan trousers with a brown belt with brass buckle. Black jacket, boots and belt with silver coloured stainless or chrome belt buckle.
Though I mix it up a bit it sometimes looks odd.

Me too! Not a T/A but a '78 Camaro. Not new but my first car. Worked my balls off for it. It ran like shit, was a constant pain in the ass and left me stranded fairly regularly. But blasting Zeppelin and smoking cigarettes in it was about as good as life gets.
