Agree with Fanch about the sleeves, and any more "room" in the body of this jacket will defeat the "look" of the Cafe Racer style. It's meant to be fitted, that one is a looking a bit loose to my eyes.
Good point @AeroFan_07 but think maybe as much as 1" could be added to the circumference of the waist without losing the fitted look? It all depends on how the fit jacket feels to the OP, keeping in mind a two dimensional picture doesn't necessarily tell the whole story. Might be worthwhile to have a picture taken from the back prior to processing this info through Carrie as she is the true expert here.

Yes, this.... The CR / BR styles are, imo, meant to be tight fitting - after all, they are styled after the top half of early racing suits and early racing 'shirts'. If you want a more relaxed jacket, go with something that has a more relaxed cut from the off. A Highwayman would be good, or a HB for something just a little neater.

Thanks guys - appreciate the comments. Understood the common fit for a CR, though I'm looking for something a bit looser in the CR style (guess I'm not a purist :)). I think it looks looser in the pics than in person

Both of my Sheene jackets, which are essentially Cafe Racers with HWM collars, had 2" added to the circumference of the waist and are snug fitting but not tight fitting. Likely less variation of proper fit though with the Cafe Racer than a 30's slim fit HB. Hopefully you can extrapolate how the CR feels in the mid-torso when zipped up and how it might feel with X added to the circumference of the waist. Should be able to accomplish this without altering the feel or appearance of the jacket and the way it is supposed to look.

on the CR sample, those chest pockets seem too far apart from each other to me, or maybe need a bit wider for the jacket size?

Thanks again everybody for the help - Carrie just sent me these pics I should have it next week. Carrie got all of the details I wanted (Cafe with board racer collar, pockets & sleeve zips) incorporated perfectly and was great to work with. First class operation.

Looks like you did very well with the final product that appears to fit you similar to the way my two Sheenes fit me. I gather yours is a size 44 CR pattern? How much was added to the circumference of the jacket? Is the leather brown FQHH? It will be interesting for you to post F/U pictures again at the end of jacket season next year to see how it molds and conforms to your body. Good show!

Thanks Fanch! It is a 44 CR with 1.5" to the body and board racer pockets/sleeves. Leather is seal Vicenza
