A few of my belts. Got a hatband or two and a holster around somewhere. 3rd and 5th are very, very old and show how real pita thread ages, turning a golden color. Sorry to derail a hat thread. Frank.

Texas Hat Co. 30X Dusty Rhodes Collection, El Mejor. Very soft velvety finish. 3-1/2" brim with pencil curl, 5-1/2" crown as creased. 2-1/2" sweat. 1-1/2" rusticated ribbon. Reminds me some of the hat Val Kilmer wore as Doc Holliday.

What is your opinion on those 30x el Mejor? I've seen them on ebay but knowing nothing...

I haven't seen many felts listed; most are straws from Atwood. The felts are made in Mexico; quality workmanship. As I said the finish of the felt is soft & smooth.
Mine does have some taper to it. I pushed out the pinches leaving just a deep center crease to take out some taper for now. I may put some taper back into it with a cavalry crease.

Does anybody know anything about a western hat brand called Lion Hats? I'm trying to help a seller who doesn't know much about hats dig up info on a hat he's got for sale. The sweatband, oddly, appears blank, with no maker or store info, no X-grade info, no hint as to whether the hat is wool felt or fur felt. The only identification on the hat is the liner, which clearly says Lion Hats. Thanks for any info tidbits.
