hi guys, do some of You know about places other than darcy to Get 1930-40 clothing? Spear point shirts for example

For spear point shirts at a great price, you might ask Natty Shirts to make something for you. We had them design a specially made Fedora Lounge spearpoint awhile back.

The long term goal is to provide a full range of authentic repro 1930s-40s menswear, and some 1910s-20s stuff, too.

I'm a frequent poster at SJC. The forum is not public except for the denim section, so you'll need to sign up in order to view the rest.

Another option is Luxire, but you have to be very specific and be able to provide full measurements to get exactly what you want; there is no stock of 30s trouser designs, just patterns made individually for customers according to provided specs. They're good for shirts and trousers.

There are a few more options in the UK, but as a rule they are not likely to offer authentic cuts; with trousers for example, there is usually the tendency to make allowances for contemporary tastes by reducing the fullness of seat and thighs and by reducing the rise.

Ralph Lauren, who has been very successful at vintage repros, does put an emphasis on authentic internal construction, but the cut is still a compromise, adhering to contemporary tastes. For example, their suit trousers have a lower rise and less fullness than the full high rise of period originals.
