Very cool - a culturally 'American' touch to an American jacket, in the same way as Aero's tartans nod somewhat to it's Scottish heritage (leaving aside for now the small matter of tartan as we know it being an Anglo-Scottish fiction of sorts). Much more subtle than the flag linings Barbour did a while back.

Got this Large in today, and here are pics and measurements. It definitely runs a bit large, but not as large as the Left Field site makes it seem. According to my tape measurements, the Large is 22.5" P-to-P, 20" Sh-to-Sh, 25" Sleeve length (measured straight), and 27.5" back length. Compare to the site, which says 49.5 Chest (so presumably nearly 25" P-to-P!), 21.25 Shoulders, 26.88 (?) Sleeve, and 28.25 Back length. I have no idea where those numbers are coming from...

Anyway, here is me, 6' about 185 lbs wearing it. Definitely a bit big on me. Perhaps a medium would fit, but I don't think I'll go through trying it out. I have not worn a medium anything for 30 years! And while there is much to like about this jacket, I don't think it's going to replace the Flathead I posted earlier. I like the fact that the leather is a bit thicker and heavier, and that the sleeves and back are clearly designed for riding -- it feels like a moto jacket more than the Flathead does -- but the Flathead is just too nice all around, and fits me much better.

Oh, the lining is indeed a very nice Navajo style blanket lining, but not really for me I determined. Still love the buffalo plaid on that Flathead, which is increasingly looking like it's going to find it's forever home with me...
