Ok well if you don't already know i got my Eastman b-3 brand new about a month ago and love how it looks on me but been annoyed cuz my a sleeves are alittle to short for my long ET arms. So I got this aero with longer arms on sale and it came today . Both jackets are 44 but as you'll see in the pictures the aero are a much bigger and heavier jacket . Not sure which one to keep , maybe both! What do you guys think ?
I'm 6'1 190 lbs

Wife says I look sexier and more tailored in the Eastman . But the aero is just a beast !!!!!
Help!!!!!!!!!
Keep em ?
Sell one ?
What looks better
The aero feels better on me , but the Eastman has come a long way since I got it cu I wear it a lot. Love them both in different ways I guess . The Eastman is certainly neater , the fleece around the zipper and waistband and cuffs are trimmed shorter and neater wear as the aero is longer and curlier all around
What are your thoughts?

It's tough making that type of decision - have you thought about keeping both, the Eastman for cold Spring and Autumn/Fall days and the Aero for Winter? Can you afford to keep both when you could return one and use the cash for a different jacket or project? Etc etc etc.

Keep the Aero. The sleeve length is better (which is why you weren't happy with the ELC); besides, some of the fluff will go down as you wear the Aero out in the elements and it will look neater, like the ELC, than it does now. The color is sublime - but that's just personal preference, I guess. Nice to have such a wonderful problem. Either way, you win!

Personally the arms would drive me nuts on the Eastman and I couldn't live with it. Not that it looks bad at all in general wear, but I would think the longer, better fitting sleeves of the Aero would be much more suitable for this kind of jacket and do look better overall.

For me, the longer sleeves and marginally bigger fit of the Aero make that the better buy.

Have you contacted ELC about having the sleeves replaced? Did you buy off the shelf as it were or give them your measurements and they've made a boo boo? if the aeros pile length (sheepskin that is ;-) ) was somewhat shorter I'd have gotten there's instead of the elc one I've had since '96.

IMO they both fit you great, but i prefer the colour and collar of the Eastman it fits you better, the darker tones look better on you.

Sleeve length is good on both with your arms by your side.
I don't usually walk around zombie style, but if you do it might be a problem for you.

If i lived in a cold area i would be tempted to keep both, wear the Eastman when it's cold, and the Aero when it's REALLY cold...

Also, whose opinion is more important? Your wife telling you you look sexier in it, or a bunch of random dudes on the internet?

Eastman doesn't do any customization, they have regular sizes and for some models they offer Long sizes, that's it.

Just a thought/question.

My ELC B-6 and Irvin were very stiff when I got them. So much so that they tended to sit "on" me vice really conforming to my shape. I would have said at the time that the B-6, being my first ELC, just flatly didn't fit me. But after awhile the jacket fit progressively better until I was glad to not have gotten a larger size.

I don't know if the Aero does the same or not.

But, if one or both settle in in the course of a year or two, might not the issue resolve itself over time a bit?

The Aero has a great fit and color. I personally prefer the greater heft compared to the Eastman. And the shorter sleeves for me is a deal breaker.

I think the Eastman is definitely a much neater and more eye catching fit. The hide on the Aero is absolutely striking but the overall fit looks more round and less defined. I think if the sleeve length of the Eastman feels too short for your liking it will probably continue to bother you so you may consider the Aero. But I also agree with what others previously said, with your arms at your side the Eastman looks spot on, and how often do you truly anticipate having both your arms stretched forward in weather cold enough to need a B-3 but warm enough to not have gloves to cover your wrists lol

Both look great but in the 'passive stance' the Eastman sleeves only look around and inch shorter than the Aero. Now we come to the 'Zombie strangle' and the sleeves of the Eastman look around 2ins shorter than the Aero. So if I'm auditioning for a part in the Walking Dead, it's Aero all the way.
Seriously how do the sleeves feel when in a driving position or doing something natural such as walking a dog, chopping wood or some other outdoor activity.
I like to turn my cuffs back so I would go with the Aero, both would look ok with a pair of A10s.
I'm guessing the sleeve fit is down to the shoulders so which ever is the most comfortable is what is most important.
