Awesome HAT!!!!!! Simply stunning....looks great on you too!!!!! I so wished that it would fit my big noggin when I saw moon list it.....so...........I will have to keep searching for one that fits me...though I doubt I would ever find one as fine as that!!!

While looking at some vintage dobbs I came across a newer hat. I was wondering if anybody knew anything about a "Chelsea"...I don't know much info from the seller but crown is ~5", brim ~2", fur felt, ribbon band, color is dark sage (almost black). Sorry for the poor pic. Thanks.

Dobbs Westward.
Been looking forever for one with at least a 2.75" brim in good shape. Today, my ship finally came in!
And with a quick dry bash in terrible lighting. Nice, pliable felt.

Thanks Anthony! I have indeed had a devil of a time finding one in good condition that works for me. They have all either sported too short of crown, too small of a brim or in poor condition. I wasn't exactly looking for one in SB, but that color always seems to work for me.

Quick question, y'all. I just got a Dobbs with a doubled-over brim. The brim is literally doubled over - all poofy-like - and it is sewn in with the sweatband. Here is a picture of the hat. Ever see or hear of such a hat before?

Just think of the brim width if it wasn't doubled over. It is a real conversation piece. Kind of thick looking?
Ik knew I had seen a doubled over brim somewhere before and here it is. I posted this hat recently in the Great British Hatmakers thread (maybe wrongly so, because there is some doubt if it is actually an English made hat). It is called a Terry Hat and has the same feature. Apparently to hold the form of the brim. Look for all the pictures in the other thread.
