Thanks! No markings or liner. The construction is somewhat primitive but not the components. It weighs 84 grams and a good bit of that is the sweatband.

The one he posted yesterday, The Penman with the 6 point diamond? Yes, isn't that a scorcher? I've seen his dark moss in person and the pics don't do it justice. I bought one like it off Mendel from The Netherlands... it's a touch small for me but I love it and wear it just a touch higher on my head.

I didn't think I'd like the 6 point diamond... boy was I wrong!

Wow, even better! I wish I had my grandfather's old dress hat... or even his old work hat, for that matter. I asked about it when he passed away but was basically told, "you're only 13, stop asking about it, kid; it's not for you."

The sun came out earlier during my walk, made me sweat up ny hat shirt and jacket, so 'tis a two-hat (and shirt and jacket) day. The Mallory Ten with a dye. Plus a G-1

Now it looks like rain again...

Probably need to break out the trench.

Thank you gentlemen! She's got some patina in person but in good shape overall. This one is certainly special to me, although he wore it with a cattleman's crease - I felt guilty rebashing it at first, but I wasn't wearing it otherwise - the super thin felt just didn't look right to me with that crease.

Thank you to the rest of you fine folks for the likes as well. I've been a lurker here for some time, but just joined a few days ago in order to help answer a member's question, so now I suppose I need to start pulling my weight - or at least to participate some instead of merely being a looky-loo!
