Oh baby, THAT'S A homburg!
Thanks Wess.
Now that homburg has the perfect profile and dimensions! Great example of a classic style!
Appreciate it D.
Borsalino Alessandria model. Navy blue. Early 1990's vintage.

I love blue hats and that one be sweet!
I think you look at least 20 years younger! I too like the curl on that hommie. It does give it a vintage European look. Cool!
Thanks Mike. If only the shave made me feel 20 years younger...

Great looking lid Jim. Cool shades too.

If you zoom really close in on the shot, you can see what you saw on your screen when you took the selfie. It's almost like seeing the world through your eyes. (Kind of a disturbing experience.[emoji6] )

NOW I think that memory might not be what I'm needing that assistance with. [emoji2]
Lotta nice hats everyone. I'm definitely envious of all the nice lids.

This Resistol Stagecoach is a conversion, a work still in progress. I haven't decided on what to do with the brim, yet. It'll either end up being a 2 3/4 brimmed fedora or a wide brimmed Safari style hat of some sort. Still deciding. After several reblockings, tons of cussing and throwing it in the trash, I finally got the crown where I wanted it...I'll post it in the conversion corral after I finally decide on the end result...gotta find a ribbon, too. This one's not attached. I'm trying to get an idea of the ribbon width I want, if I go that route.

Meanwhile, some Johnny Cash and Luther Perkins while I'm deciding

Joaquin Phoenix singing Johnny Cash's, "Home of the Blues".

The original from Johnny Cash

That is one heck of a great job on a great looking hat. That's a pretty sweet looking ribbon width for it to. [emoji122] [emoji122] [emoji122] [emoji122] [emoji122]

Hey all!
Warmth and sunshine has returned to the realm! To celebrate, I'm wearing this just-finished rainy day project. Last summer, I found this Panama body, and turned it into a hat I called the Optimoe. Well, I was never quite happy with how it turned out, so the other day I began a remake. I disassembled it, reblocked it, reassembled it and reshaped the crown. I was initially going for a Havana-style crown, bur it just kind of evolved into this.

Perhaps I shall call it the Guantanamoe. :)
Have a great day!

Yes, most of it is gone here too.

Thank you, it's a special hat.
I have been playing with the idea of showing 2 very similar hats, yet make one very feminine.
Same felt, same ribbon, same block.
Just a way of showing what custom details can do to I guess. My quest for very feminine fedora's :)

Freshly acquired Matt Andrews hat from the lounge's very own Charlie! Don't let my face fool you, I'm very happy.
Paired up with what I believe is the oldest suit I have. 30s maybe 20s. Gorgeous weather. Time for some taco bell....

It DOES fit, Wess!! That suit really is off the hook, man!!!! Probably my favorite era/style.

I hope you found the cash I stuffed in there, Wess...
