He does an amazing job with the hides!
His jackets seem to run snug, so be aware of that when discussing sizing.
My Medium fits perfect, and I'm a 38.

It kinda looks like I'd be a fool to not go with Thedi on this one from the sounds of it.
But then here's a thought.
Do you fellas think if I sent photos to Aero they would make me one, or do they not do that? It kinda looks like a modified bootlegger

I know BK are not very popular on here but I thought I'd post as I have recently received a jacket from them in Liberty dark seal, and I am very impressed with the hide. It is still quite stiff but has loads of grain and character and feels and smells amazing. I ordered as I loved the design (thanks to A1 from these pages) and couldn't find anything I liked as much anywhere else. I got good service too for what it's worth.

Could anyone please tell me how to post a photo directly onto the page via iPhone photobucket app. I have tried to copy the img link but doesn't seem to work.
Thanks

Some interesting stuff on the Thedi site, but the lack of pricing is annoying. I've had to email for some bags prices.

Apart from that, I saw these in canvas on their FB page and think they would look good toned down and without all the brand patches, but it seems these were one-offs:

I would say that they burned their bridges; but that would be inaccurate. They napalmed their bridges, then nuked them till they glowed in the dark. Whoever was in charge of their social media presence needed shot. They did know a lot about leather though, got to give them their due.

Yes Aero will do a modified Bootlegger, at least via Thirston and Id imagine direct as well.

In fact I kinda wish Id seen this thread before "designing" my own...

That app is a pain. I find that when I 'copy' an image, it doesn't let me know I was successful. But then pasting it somewhere works.

Imgur works better for mobile.
If the file is 800k, you can "upload a file" here- make sure you tap "full image".

I haven't followed their FB feed, but I gather Andy maintains a running commentary on there with regards to anything said about the brand in this place. His approach reminded me a lot of Stu Lost World's rants about "jacket queens" and such. I doubt it has ever been to their advantage. Still, both brands are stil laround and presumably selling well enough to be fine. I certainly couldn't fault the quality of product I've seen from either of them (even if, back when, BK gave the impression of faulting their own past product when talking up a new hide - I'm sure Andy would contest that, but that's how it came across to me), though obviously their approach to customer service may or may not appeal to individual buyers. Still, it's always nice to have variety of options in the buyer's market, eh?

Just saw this thread... since our jackets are all made-to-order, we can use any leather you want on this style. The one posted to the site is an "antique" cowhide we use to simulate the uber-destroyed one Russell wears in the film. We've made this jacket in different leathers over the years:

Veg tanned cowhide:

Chrome goat (with hand-distressed finish):

If you want this style in a particular leather, color, finish, etc... just e-mail us and we'll source a leather to match. We can also customize hardware to something else if you want... no problem.

That looks really nice.

(Just can't get past the budget looking hardwear on the Magnoli jacket posted previously.)

Thanks! To add to this conversation late (I've been following it)...I spoke with Magnoli originally but once I saw The Duke I set myself on that. Andy was very accommodating and offered great advice on the original jackets style, he knew what I was after (and he had a very strong historical knowledge of the designs). I spoke with Thedi too, that might be one to look at in Berlin (their jacket comes in at 980 euros btw).

As I wanted vintage horsehide the BK liberty came out on on top. I've read a lot on here and researched as a result so I wanted to say thanks to all. I'm very happy with The Duke.
