Btw, he has another suit listed too that's very nice if anyone is interested to go look... I hoped no one would see that suit but I was only dreaming.

That is a fantastic suit, slicedbread.

I actually liked this one, which was offered by the same seller and ended 12/16 at $460. That fabric is fantastic! It was a mere 3/4" too small for me!

Note that the seller is a low-posting Fedora Lounge member. I'm hoping this thread will bring you out, MrWooster! Tell us about your collection!

And welcome to The Lounge. Tumbleweed! Be sure and stop by here and say howdy.

Slicedbread, I cannot send you a private message until you reach 15 posts, but I hope you will not object to my changing the thread title to help boost participation.

Yeah, he has suits that people want - in the sizes they want. Lucky beggar.

Virtually identical suits in my size are lucky to fetch $150. But once you get up to the 40-44R range, you're in the money ...

Of course, his photos help. I've rarely seen better photographed menswear items on ebay. The only consistently comparable one i think is M. Chev.'s auctions. I prefer Wooster's simply because of the carefully placed mess in the background. Makes the customer confident that they're dealing with someone who knows their stuff re. vintage clothing and they won't be ripped off. (a man with all those ties, just has to know his stuff!). Kudos, Mr. Wooster . . .

having had another look at the brown one.... it is a classic of it's type too. if anyone new to vintage wants to know what an english 40s suit looks like then study that. exactly the sort of trousers that Hideki Okisaka takes inspiration from.

Truly the finest vintage suit I've ever seen on eBay. One size larger (44) and I would have been in the bidding to the end.

I am very impressed with this eBay seller. He goes on my favorites list immediately. He is clearly well-schooled in British tailoring and he gives meticulously detailed measurements.
