It is now. I've often wondered how those kinds of hats would modify. Looks great on the ribbon, and you know, green hats have a special quality here in the lounge.

Holy Crimony! My photo came back in a different guise after over a year and I didn't respond to your question.

Nope, not Sicilian. However, last time I was there they thought I was so it kind of makes sense.

The hat int he photo is a 1930s Capper and Capper--- that is the only marking on it. It has a plush finish and an underwelted brim. It is sort of an olive color but you can't tell from the picture.

My first vintage:

Lee back bow. I love this hat. It's so cool it's freezing. Lovely bound edge, and that back bow is one of the greatest things they ever did to fedoras.

That hat had such beautiful felt. The pic above was in C-crown mode with some serious rake from front to back. It would hold any shape i bashed. It was simply too small for moi. Here're the rest of the pics:

Open crown and centre dent with slight front pinch.

Roughly a C-crown with front pinch and cattleman's bash.

And here's the liner.

I could jam it onto my head, but i was afraid of doing serious damage (to the hat and my head!). The fact that it is thin ribbon convinced me that i was unprepared to put the money into having it stretched professionally.
