Alan, it's a present from my wife. She told me it is Navajo and she has the paperwork for it somewhere. I'll see if I can have her find it so we can know who the artist is.

The one you posted is indeed very similar. Cheers! David

This one is Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild, c.1950. Has only the guild horned sun mark - makers weren't credited. Would love to see the inside of yours!

About ID bracelts:
I still have to get mine engraved. Do you folks know what info people used to put on them back in the day?

I remember my paternal grandfather wearing a silver coloured chain bracelet (probably stainless steel) with a plate bearing information about his diabetes on it. Not something I've seen diabetics wear for a very long time (he died in June 1980), though his was complicated with heart issues as well, so.

Isn't Johnny Depp famous for wearing those style of cuffs?

Yes, his whole jewellery look is very Mexican biker / Native American.

As youngsters, (12-16 years of age) we used to buy and wear "wrist braces" because they supported the wrist. We thought that they looked impressive at the time. These were cheap, made of fabric-reinforced vinyl and made our wrists perspire and itch.

Ah, youth!

Ha, I had a cheap leather wristlet with a twin row of pyramid studs in it. Later I graduated to a dog collar instead. These days I occasionally wear a solid silver copy of Keith Richards' handcuffs bracelet.

Vietnam 'Friendship' bangle supposedly made from old rifle cartridge brass is one of my regulars. Think I paid about £6.00 for it.

Nice concept - making a ploughshare from a sword, indeed!

Johnny Depp wears loads, I think it looks great.

It all comes back to confidence and charisma. A lot of men, even in his industry, would be ridiculed for dressing like Depp, but he really pulls it off, in large part by being comfortable in his own skin.
