What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I think we all need to find a cooler place to move in the summer.... somewhere the temperature peaks at 15 - 20°C

Thuringia is good, at the moment! Since 2016, we have unusal summertimes.

In 2016, the whole summer long, an autumn-like wind blew all around and pressured temperature down. No classic, burning high-summer happened. Now, it's seem to the same, in 2017! Fresh wind is going on and no high-summer is in sight. :)
That wind is good for temperature, but bad for bicycle-driving. ;)

Probably, hot 90s-classic summers are not coming back.

I used to live in Hessen (Hanau) and it got really hot in summer. However we later moved near Thuringia (Bad Kissingen) and the summers there were much cooler. The whole Rhoen region was cooler than the Rhein-Main basin.

Touché.
Cancelled flights in Phoenix, AZ today due to potential 120ºf temps. This is my definition of hell on earth.
Almost can't even look at this thread today ;)

Insane. My Mother sent me an email saying it was 121F out in the Mohave Desert. She said that she, "had a feeling it was pretty hot" because her thermometer on the porch tops out at 120F, and it was pegged! Can't believe I used to live out there and rode dirt bikes in that kind of weather with my friends. What the heck were we thinking? I'd probably burst into flames with all the excess oil I bear today.

dunno when riding on bicycle or bike, I feel the burning of the sun more on my jeans covered thighs than on my jacket covered arms shoulder and upper back.

I have to totally agree with that. I wore Levis and a polo the other day to work... that was a huge mistake. Went back to thin suit pants and a dress shirt with rolled sleeves the next day. I hate that feeling like there's little balls of denim forming on my thighs when jeans start overheating. Anyone else know that feeling?

In the car without air-condition, I always do the jeans-trick, for staying ok for the rest of the ride. When "overheating" menaces, I roll up the jeans until above the knees. And everything is fine, for the rest of the day. No air-conditioning unit needed. :) Cheap trick.

Thanks Ton312. Your Half Belt was an inspiration. Difficult to capture midnight on film.
Lining and stitching are olive and it has shoulder gussets, nickel hardware and and a v yoke. Should break in nicely. Hoping for rain storms.

You sir are wearing the jacket I wish I ordered. That's just phenomenal and although folks might not know what that color does from the pics (I couldn't ever photo it quite right) I do and I don't think I'll see a better j-106 in my lifetime. That's just awesome man. Well done!!!
