I picked up a sears tower projector screen but I don't know how to get it to set it up fully.

Push the off-white, thumb-shaped button, pull the upper section up, and then pull up the screen and hook it in the notch at the top.

I can get the first part set up. But the upper section won't come up

The bare metal tab on the upper rod is a clutch -- press it and hold it in and pull the rod to the desired height.
Note that these rods will often freeze up in storage, especially if the screen was stored in a cellar or garage. You might want to shoot a little penetrating oil into the point where the inner and outer rods meet to break up any oxidation that's going on there.

That solved it. I put some oil on it and it loosened up. Thanks for the help
