never seen this kind of Christmas party in my life.... passing around tray of cookies, take a bite, and commenting how nice it is, yes I've been to some.Wore my j106 to a friends xmas party last night. It was passed around the room, a couple people tried it on and marveled at its weight. That made me smile. I love it when the uninitiated experience/appreciate the splendor and shocking quality of Aero's skill and Horween's dreadnoughtCXL.

I've been to only one Christmas party and it wasn't even Christmas...
Yeah we were all drunk and it was time to go. My one buddy specifically asked I "find him a jacket just like this". I promised I would. It was a Christmas lie...for I cannot. Took me the better part of 10 years and a luck shot from Hell to find this one. And to all a good night.

Well this evening is going much better than yesterday evening when the Lounge train left the rails on the @high-maintenance thread. I for one will be very disappointed if @Superfluous doesn't return soon as his comments are always interesting, and his input would be missed.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Started reading this forum maybe two years back, found it when researching leather jackets. Had never heard of any of the brands discussed here before I found TFL. Must say that I’ve really appreciated the immense knowledge and the respectful and civilized tone on this forum, something that’s rarely found online these days.
In the picture I’m wearing a Harley Davidson G1-style jacket that I picked up in a thrift store. It’s probably the cheapest and lowest quality jacket I own (fake plastic feeling “genuine leather” and fake fur collar) but also one of my favorites.

Very very cool man, welcome. I also have an old vintage LL Bean g1 in goatskin that I cherish. I got it for 35 bucks, and the knits are a little tattered and the leather squeeks like hell but besides that it’s a wonderful jacket and one of very few goatskin jackets that’s seen enough use to show genuine patina. Wear the devil out of it and you’d be surprised what that cheap 80s/90s leather can be capable of.
Thanks! Yeah, I’ve been thinking about maybe buying a high-end version of the style, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Mainly because I really like this jacket and can’t really see that I would like a high-end version so much more that it would justify the expense.

Too darn cold in Milwaukee for any kind of jacket. This is a 1980s L. L. Bean Parka...and long underwear...and wool skullcap...kinda day.
Nice picture. I've never been fond of shoveling snow or driving in it which is the reason I live in the Sun Belt. San Diego would be even better than Dallas. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!
