That’s a repro from the 1980’s so the 1940 reference and the mention of it being among his WWII-serving father’s things is a bit misleading.
It is in excellent, brand-new condition but it is definitely not a WWII jacket.

Correct, I emailed the seller and genuinely don't think they know about repros, originals etc. Apparently Dad served during WW2 and was a collector, has a ton of bits and bobs, they are still going through his stuff. They have that seemingly 'new' W&G A-2 repro also. Good buys for someone in the market.
