on the left lapel of at least two of his suit jackets in the movie - what the hell is it?

It just happened that I had taken that dvd out from the library when you posted this and finally got around to watching it. It was a terrible transfer and I never could get a clear take on the design on that pin. But in the scenes with the French spymasters several of them are wearing various types of pins in their lapel buttonholes. So I am fairly certain that is what they are.
