Ok. I will bite. How wide is the brim you have right now. We accept inches and millimeters. But the Americans will have to find an online metric converter if you use millimeters.

Now thats funny. I would figure you would want a wide brim for summer to protect yourself from the sun. Unless your from Scotland. Then you don't have to worry about sun, just rain.

So the info from Them have changed. First it was a 2 1/4 inch brim rabbit now it’s a beaver with a 2 inch brim.

Stetson makes a very nice summer hat that is not a high price tag, the Stratoliner straw and it looks really nice. They are all over eBay for around $65.00 USD which is not a bank breaker by all means.

has someone been asking for hat advice on the fedora lounge and no one has suggested Akubra yet....? Man has this thread really gone off the rails here.
Now I have no idea how Borsalino sheds water but I have been wearing Akubra hats for 18 years now and they take the elements like a champ. Let me throw out some suggestions

Carbon grey is a fantastic colour that changes with the light. it goes from black in low light to dark grey with a hint of green in daylight. to almost dark blue with overcast skies.

It looks to me that you went back with info I provided and bencrafter changed their story. I’m not sure how much stock I would put into what they say.
