I suddenly came to the realization that wearing each of my leather jackets a mere 2-3 times per year is wholly insufficient and downright unconscionable. Therefore, in order to enable me to wear my jackets more often, I must reluctantly thin the herd.

My Good Wear Imperial is made with brown vegetable/pit-tanned, aniline dyed Shinki horsehide. The leather is robust and sturdy, yet pliable and wearable. John Chapman’s craftsmanship is second to none. The jacket is in great condition.

The following are the dimensions for the jacket (plus or minus a quarter inch):

Chest (P2P): 21.75-22 inches
Shoulders: 17.5 inches
Back length (measured from base of collar): 25.75-26 inches
Bottom hem: 20.5 inches
Sleeve length: 27.125 inches measured around edge of sleeve from shoulder to cuff, or 26.5 inches measured straight from shoulder to end of cuff.

There is currently a 3 year wait for a new Good Wear jacket. Good Wear recently sold a used Imperial for $1,200: http://www.goodwearleather.com/pages/sale_imperial_0001.html .

I will sell my Good Wear Imperial for $1,150, plus actual shipping costs and Paypal fees (buyer is responsible for risks during shipping).

That’s a fine looking hide. Unfortunately a little small for me. Good luck with the culling.

Oh man, your killing me. I'm just a bit bigger than you. If not, your jackets would be not being worn in my closet.

I feel ya, Craig. Considering offloading another myself. This tho is as close to “grail” as leather jackets get. Someone’s gonna be happy with it

Kinda surprised this did not get snatched up in a heartbeat, especially considering the topics discussed in the Good Wear-about thread. It must be some kind of sign that you should keep it.

Very like the jacket. I would take it if sleeves would be 25 or 25.5 inches instead of 27 inches. I feel that 27 inches is a little bit too much to me.
Anyway, keep looking at this beauty still)

I don't think so, esp. if make the work properly, and this qualified work is quite pricey. Anyway, thinking about that)

In the UK, that work would be less that £50 from a well qualified leather craftsman.
If that’s the only hold up for you, then I’d advise buying it...

I'd also keep this one, if I were you. You would not have another custom made GW in your life considering the wait time.

In your lifetime?! That’s a pretty robust way to deliver the news, MET. The OP is still a young man, do you have news that you want to share with him via DM?
