Shooting an older pair above. From the first photo this one is named "Lucky" Its mate is named "Lonesome". Old carved ivory.

Pretty amazing week having all three of these show up at once. The nickel pair I posted previous took 60 days. This gun with gold inlays and our family brands going back to the 1880s took 18 months.

thanks! Engravers were P Quigley on the single, John Adams Sr did the pair...all are .45 Colt. Action work, ivory and final finishes by different makers.

An excellent choice, sir! .45s are my favorite caliber: .45-70, .45-110, .45 Colt., and .45 ACP!

No, but I just got a Colt clone. A EMF Deluxe Californian ( Pietta). Been working on a holster. I have had problems logging on the past few days, I will post when I can.

My ex brother in law tried shooting with both hands, using Glocks. He couldn't hit the side of a barn if he was inside it!

My latest is this EMF Deluxe Californian, in .45, made by Pietta. I looked up the dealers for this company, and found an old friend of mine is a dealer. He has been shooting fast draw as long as I have known him. He had the one I wanted in stock, I couldn't believe it. And he gave me a way better price than I expected. I have been making a holster for it, that should be done this weekend. This revolver has a very nice action, much better than expected.

May be he should practice more. Or take a closer look at a SASS match in person and see how the "gunfighter" class shoots two at once.
