I do not know if at the closure of the Panizza factory in 1981 the production has ceased totally or some hat has been finished over the years, but this is a hat of “Panizza quality” above all for the beauty of the felt, very soft and lustre

The proportions are as follows: raw brim to 6 cm. crown at 9.5 and the ribbon is 4 cm.

The “modern” paper label shows the color number which is 2, no other indications

It seems very little worn, ready to travel to Holland

Felt is soft and with a touch of "bristly" and there are two seams on the over welted brim

The felt is called on FL "heather" because it change color when you see it from different angles and the felt is a mixture of fur and wool.

Proportions are: Brim at 4,5 cm. Crown al 10,5 cm and the ribbon is 3 cm.
Panizza produced excellent felt, no more felt like this and I'm very sad about that.

It has the typical proportions of the Italian hat of that era

The color is called: "Ucraina" and the felt is finish with short soft hair called "Loden". Color is really interesting
The felt is thick with overwelted brim and it is a mix of furs and wool

Hat arrived until now used in excellent conditions

Proportions: Brim at 5,5 cm. Crown al 11 cm and the ribbon is 3,5 cm.

It has the proportion of an "alpine hat" traditional in the Alps and the felt is called "King Loden" a type of felt used for sturdy fabric for winter time.

The color is called: "Gem" and the felt has shaggy pile finish with a mixture of rabbit and wool

The color changes according to the light and the ribbon is of the same material. The hat is finished with a very high standard

Hat is new, part of a fantastic find in a closed shop in south Italy

Proportions: Brim at 5 cm. Crown al 10,5 cm and the ribbon is 3 cm.
Last consideration: felt like this is impossible to find today, taste for hats are changed and many others thing in the world of hatters

Gold Star in black thick felt size 59

They bear the name "Gold Star" but they are evidently two Italian hats sold in a Palermo store

This is an Italian product that has been made in Monza about fifty years ago, maybe in Panizza factory in the seventies.

I proposed for the first hypothesis, but during the afternoon I made a comparision with Cervo and the felt is quite the same of the old production of the factory in Sagliano Micca - Biella. I have to work on it

The hat is of thick black felt and a certain roughness, so I think there is a small part of wool. The interior is impeccably finished with a blue lining.

Stamped on the sweatband the words "Lepre garantita superfine" for this and for the bow I think it was produced in Monza, these are two characteristics of that production, but I'm uncertain

The proportions are: brim at 6 cm, crown at 11 cm. and the ribbon is 3 cm.
The hat will be in the Americas in the next future

Every so often I find some accessories of some old closed hats shop.

Here are two hat cones, one from the Cervo and one from Guglielmo Pasini from Monza

They are made of simple cardboard, they seem to be from the fifties, poorer as construction of the Barbisio that I had shown you some time ago
