Reeled in this beauty today.
No label, and the photo doesn't do the color much justice. The solid part is a beautiful shimmery brown, almost copper color.

For my first hand painted tie, I opted for something simple.
1950's black tie with three hand painted leaves and two small plants in white, pink, brown, and blue.
Unknown maker and fabric, but it's likely rayon or acetate.
Sold at Klaus Department Store. Opened in Chicago in the year 1906 and permanently closed sometime in the early 1980's.

A 1930's tie that really caught my eye on Ebay. This is what I love about 30's ties, you never see anything like this anywhere else today. Or in any recent decade for that matter!

I found these two the other day.

You're probably right about the dating of the spiderweb one. It seems to have been a relatively popular motif at the time, and one sought after by collectors these days. They pop up on the ebay fairly regularly, and they don't go cheap.
Also weirdly interesting (to me anyway) is the fact that I just finished watching one of the Spiderman movies with my kids when I saw this.

I remember wanting these before I bought my first 30's-40's tie. They're long gone, but I saved the pictures because they tend to disappear after the tie gets sold.
Interesting design, almost like a "digital" design, if that makes any sense.

I've been wondering if these Bakelite Tie Press devices really do remove wrinkles from ties. I'd like to see one in action, but they're pretty rare. Not only that, shipping is costly due to its weight and size, and even more when importing from the UK.
Many listings I've seen on Ebay either have a Countess Mara label or a TieMaster label on the front, but I think both work the same way.
Height and width will vary in each individual Tie Press. (Width: between 5 - 7 inches. Height: between 6 - 6.5 inches.
"Made in Windsor England by John Corby Ltd."
Most of them were made throughout the 1930's.
Here's a description for the tie press shown above written by seller 63tb:

I can't really find anything vintage locally. We have the Sally Ann, Value Village, More for Less, Catholic Charities, but nothing which carries very many local options. Most which have a 'vintage' section are dedicated to things pre-90s, but nothing we could refer to as vintage in the GE sense.
Should I be spending more time on Ebay? Mondo, I think we're in the same boat, being of limited income and not having much for options.

Yes sir, online markets are the way to go. I find 30s ties in person sometimes, usually lower quality ones. Good luck on your search for excellent neckwear.

Before I collected Golden Era ties, there was this one time I was given a box of wide polyester ties from the 70's. I liked some of the designs, but they weren't exactly my style. 
However, the one below is an exception.
1970's Navy Woven Tie
Woven in Como Italy for Haband
100% Polyester
53" long x 3-1/2" wide
What may look like an ordinary solid navy tie...
... actually has some nice and subtle detail in the weave!
So 70's, yet it doesn't overdo it with wacky color schemes!
One of the few polyester ties that is a keeper!
However, the one below is an exception.

I bought all 4 of these in an Ebay lot back in December 2017. They're all Rooster ties from the 60's.
If I recall correctly, the entire lot was $10.99! The knit ties were really what grabbed my attention.
