When I first got this hand-made wallet, it was a raw natural leather. I’m hoping the Campus, with time and lots of wear, will end up with the same patina.

This is really cool man. This hide is so bare. The more you touch it, and the oils from your hands work their way in, combined with the sun. By fall this should really be something to see. Fit is dead on too. Very interesting to see how this progresses. The new jacket almost looks to be the color of a baby pig. Time to make some bacon.

Pleaaase do not put any oil or products on the jacket. Let it create their own patina by wearing it and loving the sun.

Yes, cheers. Although I have mink oil and a bottle of Obenauf’s, they’re reserved for older leather that are getting dried and in need of conditioning. Other than my baseball glove, I’ve never used oil or conditioner on any new jacket... that’s taking the fun out of creating stories on a leather jacket.

A beauty. Beyond great jacket.
It was the piece the called my attention a few months ago while browsing through Mister -freedom website.

It will be a unique piece in a few years, with character like no other.

So, we know that natural leather tans and it shows over time but what about regular leather? How does sun affect the colour of our jackets?

I believe the sun has made a few of my older, black motorcycle leather jackets lighter.
