This is an interesting one. Modern tie, but the colors and patterns all scream 30's. Definitely one of the coolest modern ties I've ever seen. Good find!No luck at Goodwill today. I'm posting this instead.
Bought this tie from a visit I made a few weeks ago. It's self-tipped and retains its original barcode.

Those are a bunch of real gems. I really like the color palette that was used on all of them.
I’m a bit curious as to whether these spectacularly narrow bow ties existed as a self-tie or if they were all pre-tied clip ons.
They appear to be very skinny batwing bow ties, but I haven’t found a self-tied version that makes a bowtie that narrow. Seems like you’d need stiff material to prevent the bow tie from drooping.

Sometimes, I like the simplicity of batwing bow ties. But of course, diamond tip bow ties are still the best kind of bow tie!
You're probably right about that Upgrade. The one I own feels stiff, but the middle is slighty shaped. This lets me tie a nice knot.
One of my first vintage bow ties from when I was entering the world of vintage menswear. I think the pattern is excellent for a skinny batwing.
What I love about it one is the fact the tie is reversible!
Let me explain:
Look closely at the ribbed silk. The woven lines are horzontal on one side. Flip the tie, and the lines are vertical!
