How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I couldn't bear the heat but standing right in front of the a/c for a couple fit photos. Shows the Cordo color quite well. Tapering a size down from chest to waist was an absolutely brilliant idea and I very much owe Carrie a huge thank you for suggesting it. Creates a v shape similar to my CR. Apologies for the cluttered room. It's my daughters play room but it gets the best light...
This jacket will no doubt be my daily driver when this stupid summer finally ends.

Picked my wife up another vintage Brooks. Love the collar on this one. It’s a heavy little sucker!

I like them on bike jackets for small stuff like garage door openers and such but otherwise agree.

And ton312 you won the race to Chicago. Mine is on the truck for delivery today. Rainy forecast may just spend some time wearing indoors.
I cheated with UPS 2nd day Air...couldn't wait! Crap weekend will mean exactly that. Lots of indoor wearing and staring. Post yours up when it arrives!

Is it Liberty?
I feel lighter hides are better for this style, but I'm also interested in your observations on the BK leather. Some hate it while others are fine with it.

Looks good. Nice color. Liberty is lighter and more along the lines of what an original would have. Many of the original cossack style I see were made with goatskin, deerskin, suede finish. Most were button models, mostly produced before zippers were in popular use. I have an early goatskin model with a very early Talon zipper. Too small for me, but looks great.

Yes, it’s liberty. I love the feel and grain of this leather. Perfect for Fall/Spring. The collar and cuffs are spot on. I’ll post updates when I start wearing it in the fall. I think it will form to the body nicely.

You can carry a knife legally in the UK if you're over the age of 18 and the blade is 3'' or less.

Silvermans in the (UK) are selling Schott leather peacoats for a reduced price at the moment, looks like a good deal.

I'd say the 50's HB is fit like a Bootlegger, where the 30's is closer to a CR. Both are very cool. For a winter beast I wanted the former.

The Bootlegger is a 50s Halfbelt with a crossover front.

Hey all, brand new to the forum and to high-quality leather jackets. I was pretty sick of ill-fitting cheap jackets and decided to go with an Aero which I ordered via their website yesterday. I opted for one of the new Hooch Hauler models. I like the slim fit and collar style. What do you all think about my choice of Vicenza Black for a first Aero jacket? I was agonising between either that or the tougher CXFQHH/CX leathers...

Vicenza is plenty tough and black is a classic, great choice. I’d think about the blackened brown as well...I think it just offers a slightly more interesting colour than “plain” black.

Congratulations! And good choice in style and leather. I’m super pleased with my hooch hauler in Vicenza, currently my favorite jacket.

I love both Vicenza and CXL (especially how cxl looks after about a year or two of wearing), but I think Vicenza is easier to wear and has a better drape. It’s significantly lighter than cxl, while still having weight and some stiffness. It is lighter than cxl but compared to “normal” jackets I would say it is still plenty thick, very similar to the steer in my Schott Perfecto.

Thanks for the feedback -- much appreciated! Glad to hear I've made a good choice on the model as well as materials. I was speaking with Aero back and forth for awhile now about it. I'm waiting for the complete specs for my jacket. I'm particularly nervous about the sleeve length. I would like the sleeves to sit just on the wrist bone and not exceed it too much. Can anyone give suggestions on the sizing? I already gave height/chest/waist measurements to Aero.

Regarding sleeve length I think you should provide aero with your desired sleeve length. Measure a jacket that is a good length for you (and perhaps add half an inch to account for how the sleeves on a leather jacket will crease and shorten). Aero measure sleeves from the shoulder seem straight down to the cuff, so use the same procedure when you measure and you should be all good.

Edit: regarding sizing I would follow Aero’s advice.
