Thanks Christophe. A few days ago I discovered a spot that at a certain time would get direct sun from the back and sun reflected off of a large window in the neighbors house from the front. Sadly, it may be somewhat Stonehenge like in that it seems to be moving out of sync already. But that did lead me to playing with what I have available for natural lighting.

Michael
A lovely natural light always pleases me, it becomes almost tangible or as if it was painted. Trying to explain to my kids about the quality of light (I used to do a lot of film photography), but they just look at me as if I told them that Pokemon is their father.

Apologies to all for my multiple individual responses yesterday, will try and group responses into one post going forward.

No hat today as the temperatures are up again, but good ol’ English rain returns tomorrow.

I saw a proliferation of stingies so I put my hand to the first box to wear a Borsalino Misto, I did not find it and taking advantage of a fresh day, yesterday it rained, I wore the first stingy

Way to explore the homburg style of hat. Excellent. I found the larger brimmed homburgs to be more frequently reached for and worn. The homburgs can be worn informal - mine 99% of the time are worn informal.

Great visual and literal explanation in regards to the Homburg, Eric. Here, no one wears them better in any of the settings they were intended for (formal wear) or the way they've been adapted here to more casual settings. Your style and variety reflect this. I love the look of the homburg on many others yet have passed on every one I've owned. They do not suit my eye the way my eye reflects on others wearing them. I always try to make a western out of them.

Stingy rules Daniele. Love the finish and details of this beauty. Great color too.

No patients this morning. Too tired from all the worry of the weekend, and decided to enjoy all my new hats. Sitting in my balcony, enjoying the sunrise with a cup.

Just a wonderful example Max. Straight crown, nice details and great color. You rock.

Haverford pork pie. It's not the weather for this hat here yet but it just came off the stretcher and needs some head time to try to maintain the shape, so I'm wearing it indoors while I work today. View attachment 130981 View attachment 130982 View attachment 130983
We have a parade of nice felt going on this morning. This Haverford has a great look. Nice construction and that fuzzyness!! Wow, great find.

Hitting the streets today in a Dobbs Hanover Square I recently spiffed up and rebuilt.

Great look for a street walker. I need a Dobbs from this series of hats.

You're a true artist at heart! :)
Thanks WK. More picture taker than photographer.

Even budget straws deserve some head-time, Michael.
Yes they do. It gets in on the act when I'm doing something sweaty around the yard.

Great hat, wonderful crease, Michael.
Thanks Stefan.

No hat yesterday, so it had to be two hat day today.

Borsalino Rogers Peet first.

Dobbs fifteen and a spot of rain next.

Both gems. But then all you have is gems.

Thanks all,
Michael

Keeping with the long hair theme this morning, I'm going out for errands in the cool of the morning. The forest fire haze is keeping temps down this a.m., but it is going up to the 90s after lunch. I grabbed my Penn-Craft English stingy with a wonderful long hair finish. Love the feel of this hat. The Penn Craft license was sold off to England just after the merger in 1946. This license example is from the early 1960s

Hey Max: gotta look some more.
Does this hat have a tint of blue in it or is it just the lighting? I’d love to see this one beside your Robin’s Egg blue Strat!! If you were taking requests and like, had the day off! Ha
