Experience with Himel leather finishes?

Hello, loungers. Close to pulling the proverbial trigger on a Himel Canuck and am wondering about the finishes. Tossing up between the black pigment finish (which is designed to show the lighter teacore beneath, with time and wear) and the dark brown oil tanned (which also allows the base to show through, although presumably to different effect).

Anyone seen either in the, as it were, flesh? Pics would be helpful, too. I'm leaning towards the black pigment, which strikes me as a satisfying halfway house between brown and black.

Thanks, Carlos. Your jacket is a beauty: the dark brown is browner than I thought.

Impressed, too, by your scientific approach to measurement. Who did your measurements for you?

Thanks, it is much darker than brown CXL here is a pic with both:

Schott Steer, LL Cow, AL Warhawk, Black Shinki, Black Italian leather, Brown CXLFQHH, Black CXKFQHH, Dark brown Shinki.

Although it is darker it still has some red undertones, it's definitely not an earthy brown.
My girlfriend helped me for the measurements.

The black pigment is beautiful and the patina can be quite quick. My personal preference is for that dark brown as I adore that color, but either one should be brilliant. I'd buy based off of what other color jackets you have and what color boots you own.

I have an Avro in the black pigment, and I love it. I agree that the patina starts pretty quick. I have only had the jacket for about 6 months, and I wear it pretty much everyday. Some parts on the lower sleeve have already started to show the teacore.

How do you like that helmet? Does it have cutouts for speakers? Thanks.
That is my buddy's helmet. I was at his office, and tried it on. As you can probably see it is a little too small on for my giant head. I am not sure about speaker cut outs, but he told me it is the best helmet he has ever had.

Colin, not yet. I keep putting it off because of the expense!

I'm in Canada so how do you think I feel about the price? Much worse for me. At least you gain on currency exchange.

I am looking at the dark brown oil tan since it would show the least amount of wear over time. I was hoping you had yours so I could check out the colour.
