Got some great offers but nothing that 100% works for me. Got some shabby ones, too. Someone offered me a Wilson in exchange. Their reasoning was that a second hand Schott CR's are $250. Right.

To put things into perspective, this jacket was $940 in 2011. That's more than what either Aero or Lewis Leathers or mostly anything else used to cost back then. Today, it would probably cost over 1.5K. Rightfully so because it really is a definition of a high end jacket. The hide it's made of is 2x heavier than on the 618 I had. And 2x nicer. I haven't handled a CR, new or old that I would deem a worthy replacement which is why I don't want to trade it for another CR. It'll be a step down.

That's why I want to trade it. Just want something that I'll wear. Doesn't need to be in nearly the same price range.

I'd like to see that Branded. I've recently sold one, fantastic jacket. I think a 42 will be a bit too large but still... I'm interested.

If I didn't have one...
Monitor this is the way to trade jackets!!
Smart!!
I guess you are ok on Cal leather CHP Cross zips??

Madness. If a second hand Schott is worth $250, what's a second hand Wilsons' worth?

Yeah, Branded make a pretty badass jacket. Heavy and quite armour-like but still comfortable to wear. I like it a lot but I'm probably in the same boat as you, in that I just get more wear out of a CR than a cross zip.

If that jacket fits you well, then I think we're probably about the same size. This one measures out at about 22.5 pit to pit, 18.5 shoulders. There are a few holes in the lapels so I'm assuming the previous owner stuck in a few pins to increase airflow, breathability and reduce drag while maintaining that badass biker look.

I'm with you on the short leather jacket vibe Monitor, hence why I'm asking your height, a question that you may have missed.

This CR is too long for my liking too (I'd prefer it at 24.5" or shorter) but maybe just maybe I have another one or two that might tickle your fancy further down the line..

I didn't miss it tho I've seen it at work and forgot about it later on, as there was a lot to reply to. Sorry, my mistake! I'm 6.1. I know the length of the CR I'm trading is supposed to be right for me but yeah, I too just can't help but vastly prefer jackets around at 24" or so.

That's a righteously cool jacket. I really like it. How tall & heavy are you?

Do you really need to sell it? I think regardless of what trade or what reasonable sale price you get, you’ll regret letting this one go.

All true but... Problem is, I just don't wear it. Not nearly as much as I'd want. Last time I've had it on was 6 months ago at a funeral and the only reason was because I didn't have anything else in black to wear and I couldn't turn up in a Perfecto. I wore it for a while then stopped altogether as I just can't help but prefer short jackets. It's painful but it's more painful knowing that this perfect jacket is just hanging in the closet. I'd much rather if someone would wear it. It's a true bike jacket, too. If I still rode, it would see much more use but this way...
