Thought I would post a thread for anyone interested in this Vanson model as you don't see much about it. I had the sleeve stripes and patches removed, substituted brass hardware, tartan lining, and most importantly changed the collar to a Model B style as the original was very uncomfortable when the jacket was worn open. Sorry for the bad mirror pics, I will have some better ones taken if my GF ever comes back lol. I will say the fit jacket was a closer fit than this one, specifically it didn't have that Vanson upper arm bulge you so often see, it was a tighter fit in that area despite being the same size as this one. I am still very happy with it though, to those who have owned Vansons, does that relax a bit as the jacket wears in or do I need to add an inch to my bicep/tri-cep? :D This thing will take a while to break in, it is not comp. but X150 which is still a pretty stiff leather. Cheers.

I like that on that model they have started the zipper appropriatley high for sitting on a bike as opposed to the Model B which zips lower. I bought a Model B in Feb. It has softened with some relatively hard wear. As for the upper arms, better hit the gym.

The X150 breaks in beautifully. You will enjoy the process and the result. Jacket looks great, congrats.

Ha! Well I have started working out again after a bit of a hiatus, but don't know if I want to get big enough to fill that space lol. I will say the fit jacket was pretty damn tight in the upper arms so maybe it is best this one leaves a little room to grow into, just figured once it broke in the sleeves might 'lay down' a little better in that regard.

Yea I prefer that style of zipper hem as this is also a riding jacket. Rode in it today and it lays nicely, no bunching up at the neck.

I like it. Reminds me of my Union Garage x Vanson V7. What's the back look like? Is it armored? What about lining, inside pockets?

Yeah the z150 is like iron out of the box. It'll yield. Jacket looks awesome man. Fit is perfect, trim but not too much so. Ideal CR fit imho. Just how my Aero fit. Well done!

I wore my Vanson Comet in 44" to ride today , it's my "lightest" leather jacket.

Love that jacket I do. Straight off the peg no customisation , and it fits real close.

Comfy from day 1 , but it is not that warm. When I set out at 9.30AM it was the 'go to" jacket choice.

Today once out the temp here dropped 10C and I SHOULDA worn my Vanson Sturgis instead.

I really like that also, but for "different" reasons. Openable zippered louvres for airflow if it does get hot(ter) out. !
