I have an old Milkmans cash bag that need some rejuvenation after many years in storage. Anyone have any recommendations to clean and restore without ruining a great patina? I am replacing the shoulder straps with some from an old leather bridal maybe using saddle soap as a first application, then maybe leather furniture polish. I really don't want to go the Pecards route as it is so expensive and I do have many other so called restoration creams, lotions and polishes.
I have to say this is very thick leather with some really old misshaping as it was filled with rags before I acquired it.
Cheers, Johnny Tee
