Hi all,

So I just got an Aero Real Deal size 42 in from a bloke who wasn't all that pleased with the fit of his new creation. Now I'm trying to make sure I'm sufficiently pleased as well.

It's definifely à relaxed fit, but I think that's the cut. Because she shoulder, sleeves, and length seem pretty good. Only worry is that I've got too much leather flapping around in the back.

FYI, this is my first time even touching a proper A2.

The last shot really captures the dilemma. Lotta leather back there.

Looks like a good fitting jacket to me,You have a well-built chest, and you are narrow at the waist
all A2 jackets on You they will look like this, less or more

In my opinion a2 @ Bigbenbs it is not too big .I had a dozen a2 jackets and none was perfectly matched for me, such a jacket A2 have cut

for some fit is better for others, not

Mine is not a size too big for me.
You have other figure than @Bigbenbs, simply
( this is a problem that has been raised here many times )

I wonder if the problem with this particular A-2 is the sleeve pitch. It doesn't look right to me. Consider the twist in the leather around the shoulder area, and the baggy back and "slim" front. Faulty pitch would account for both of those problems. The reference to pulling it down in the back while putting it on and then having it ride-up after normal movement suggests it, too.

Since the question was raised, I personally also think the M-422a/G-1 fit more flattering than the A-2. I don't know much about contracts, but going by Eastmans I have seen, the former style(s) are broader in the shoulders, very trim in the body and the fur collar makes your neck look shorter and broader, all these attributes contributing to accentuating the male physique.

^ Yep, that's the one. Looks really awesome on Gav.

I wish we had female members here to share their insight on the matter but I would actually be willing to bet that the A-2 is a style women find least attractive on men. Provided they even notice it at all. :D

Yep, that's my experience. It's the knits and cargo pockets. I had a generic one and the young women at work called it my "old guy's" jacket. Aparently it needs to be worn with beige chinos to consolidate the old guy look.

I completely agree with this and I would add that it is a more functional jacket as well. A trim, slim fitting G-1 still offers a good range of motion where a trim, slim fitting A-2 feels tight and constricting through the shoulders and upper back.

Bottom line is the A2 fit the OP perfectly. Perhaps he just did not like the cut of that contract on his frame. Pretty simple really. The jacket would have changed and adapted to his body eventually if he had kept it. Leather is not static.
