Regular shoe trees in boots?

My boots don't extend beyond ~10 - 12 holes, and I use standard cedar shoe trees. Engineer style or taller may need a boot tree, but hopefully the real experts will chime in soon.

I have multiple pairs of Danner boots, 6" height and I have used regular cedar shoe trees for at least a decade. Work great. I use western boot shoe trees for my higher heeled western boots as they have the steeper more pronounced instep profile. For my ropers I just use regular trees.
One of the loungers here advised me to be careful using cedar trees on exotic leather westerns as some of the hides are not as tough as cow and tearing from the shoe tree pressure could happen.

Would be interested in finding out if any member here could advise a ready-made boot tree for a 1950s engineer boot or a place that could custom make a boot tree for the boots. Does anyone know anything that could help?

They do make them, perhaps looking on custom western bootmakers websites might have a way to purchase or even a link. If nothing else, they could tell you who makes good ones and how to purchase. And have you just Google search?

You can find them simple Google as I did...many offerings BUT you can still want to have a normal shoe tree inside the boot as most boot trees are only for the boot shaft and not for the "shoe" area of the boot.
