Teamster! The only jacket anyone has really made a good fuss of. I may have told these stories before, so please don't pull me up on it.
Other comments go like this:
I am wearing my Original WWII Lucky 7 Seven A2, I'm not in a uniform but wearing a Howard Hughes style Trilby hat. Him "Would you like to sell that jacket?" Me "Everything is for sale at a price, make me a good offer" Him "£350" (10 years ago) Me "I'll think about it" (JT then takes a swig of beer from a bottle sticking out of jacket pocket). Me, swallows beer then replies, "I have thought about it and think you would be better off with a second hand repro. Later I heard he went around telling all his mates it was a repro itself. Yea right!

Next question please(about an Aero Highwayman) Him, but not the above, "Thats nice, where did you get it? " Me "It's an Aero Highwayman" Him "Really, Can I see the label?". Me "No" and no please so I am thinking I have told him it's an Aero so why would he want to see the label. Me "They have a website, everything is on there" Him, "Could I try it on" Me "No". I am now thinking this guy, someone I have never met before is going to do a runner if I let him wear it so wander to where some friends are standing,Guy follows a few seconds later, sees I am with friends and makes detour to toilet. Nothing else happens, a few glances but he's on his own and we have empty beer bottles on our table should there be trouble.

Then having some fun at a car boot sale. Always a chancer so me dressed in tatty Eastman A2 with patches, jeans and black boots and a welders cap I had just bought.
Dealer "is that original" Me "Is what original? Him "That jacket" Me "What about it, I think it's an old pilots jacket, I just bought it, he has a couple more" Him(a bit excited) "How much did you pay" Me "£28 quid, he wanted 30" Him "Want to sell it I'll give you a good price?" Me "How good" Him "£50" Me "No, I don't think so yet, I'll check it out on the net, might be worth more, it's a good offer though but it fits nice and I like the way its a bit beat up" Him finally "What stall was it on" Me pointing "Over there someplace near the edge" Then strolled way but going home anyway.
That may all seem a bit cheeky but these were house clearance dealers who usually get everything from their customers dead relatives at next to nothing, selling the stuff on but paying no employment tax or stuff like that.

Other than that, the old seasoned mickey take on "Where do you park your Spitfire" while wearing a B3.
Enjoy, JayTee.

When I wore almost exclusively my first Eastman Luftwaffe in the early 90's I was the ONLY one I ever saw !

Wore it to work with shirt and tie ( pleated dress pants/trousers )

AND at the weekend with 501's and Lucchese roper western boots. Jacket was a "chick magnet" to the max

( the older I get the better I was haha...self deprecating humour ( sorry humor !)

To quote Nic Cage in the 1990 movie "Wild at Heart"...

Sailor: Did I ever tell ya that this here jacket represents a symbol of my individuality, and my belief in personal freedom?

AND to ride my then motorcycle ( before my exclusively Harley days of the last 23 years )

Indeed it was the "Hayzoos" of cool. Two of my friends subsequently bought the EXACT same jacket, same size !

HOWEVER as I never had mine off my back they would only wear theirs when I was not there haha..( I kid you not !)

Now it's obviously old and "beat up" but I still wore it one day last week , occasionally do.

Most recently it has been my Schott HH café racer , as shiny as a shiny thing , gets a few comments.

The other day while I was wearing my 1950s Lawrence half belt, a woman I passed in a store remarked on how much she liked it. When I told her it’s made from horsehide, she asked if she could touch it. She felt a sleeve up and down a few times, then said “OK, I’ll stop rubbing up on you now.”

People paid the most attention to a size 40 tan Cafe Racer I had (sold because I thought it was too small), but lots of nice things get said about my Aero Maxwell in tumbled cordovan. No-one has noticed my size 42 Cafe Racer in battered seal at all, at all.

Strangely the one that seems to garner the most attention and comment is the one I feel the least confident about wearing, an Aero bootlegger cross zip in cordovan steer. My leathers tend to be black motorcycle style but this later cxl steer seems much more vivid, shiny and lighter weight than the old Aero half belt I had in cordovan years ago, that thing may even have satisfied Ton in the hefty stakes;-)

Every time I wore this jacket, somebody asked me where I got it, how much i paid, even offered to buy it off (half jokingly). Unfortunately, that’s why I decided to sell this jacket and it’s hoping to find a new home on eBay at the moment. I don’t want my jacket to be screaming for attention. I am not sure if there is such thing as “too much cool” when it comes to leather jacket, but that’s how I feel about this bootlegger. Just a little too much cool.

I don't know what i am doing wrong, but other than in leather jacket stores i have never had anyone i didn't know comment on a leather jacket i was wearing...
Maybe it's the resting bitch face + beard + No2 buzz cut + black leather combo that is too much for some?
