Yes, I'm hoping Simon does a second run next year in Oxblood, I think that would be amazing (plus I have too many brown boots already). I gather shoes are also planned on the same last - I love the spade sole.

Rocking the new Allen Edmonds Normandy. May switch out to the brown waxed laces. Yes, narrow for a D width and a little bit more toe room toe room than usual for a US 9, lengthwise, but maybe if I had gotten an 8.5 D, that would have thrown off the arch. Plenty of room for thicker sock if I want and the leather is oh so soft, no break in required. Love the lug soles.

I recommend dabando1 on ebay. These were seconds, $160 and shipping, but Allen Edmonds has new ones on sale now for $295.00.

memphislawyer, I generally only have boots that are for functional reasons. I have found Red Wing to be an excellent brand. I have a set of motorcycle boots from them that I have been using at least for a decade. Had the soles redone on them once. They are just below the calf lace boots. Softened them up initially with neatsfoot oil, and then with mink oil to waterproof them. I also have some above the ankle steel-toed safety shoes from Red Wing. These too have been excellent.
