That is good to know. I was going to contact the guy, but this information turned me off. I have heard that his jacket are the best, but it is a lot of money to be ignored and to wait for so long. I'll pass. Thanks for posting.

Been waiting 2 years myself, as for them being the best, can't say as I haven't handled any. But they are simply the best for a group of customers, whether that's you or not is for you to decide :)

It's worth adding that the more time it passes the more chances that the jacket that arrives isn't up to the hype nor expectations for the long wait time.

I've just received two more pics from Aero which show both russet and seal Badalassi....nice stuff in my opinion!

Ken from Aero has just sent me pics of three different Badalassi hides - russet (looks like cognac color), seal brown (very rich color and darker like on the photo) and brown buffalo (20-30 years old and very unique). I think I prefer the russet/cognac one. Here are the pics.

Aero returning to Badalassi? They had a look at it a few years back, I remember a beautiful but v heavy butterscotch coloured jacket that hung in the factory for a while, but they decided to not to go forward with it. I wonder why they changed their mind?

@Sloan1874 No, they haven't changed their mind. This is just the remaining stock - at that time they decided to go with Vicenza. Do you think it isn't worth ordering one from quality of the Badalassi they offer, point of view? I just see the colour and have seen a jacket from The Few from from Badalassi and it is super nice leather.

I love how some of the colors age into different tones/ colors (Petrolio and Grigio in particular). After hearing others' reviews though, I am of the opinion the stuff is better for boots, wallets, watchstraps, and belts.

Can you elaborate?

The jackets that BK made out of Badalassi don’t look too thick from the pictures. I wouldn’t expect the same exact leather to be used for boots for instance.

OK, thanks. Sound like Badalassi is not so good quality and improper for a jacket.

It's lovely, but it was a seriously heavy jacket that I saw, beyond the weight that I'd be willing to live with. I would have to check with Aero what sort of beast I'd be getting.

it is lovely looking stuff. Lofgren uses it for shoes / boots.

The Few were the ones that first showed their use on jackets and started the blue craze around here a few years back.
Grigio- new on RT, 6mo old on LT:

I have to say the blue on that first pair which I’m sure it’s the same blue in all photos in different lighting and states of wear. But not damn that’s a sexy blue.
