Coconut oil is one of the oils the ladies at Long Hair Community sing praises of.
I'm one of those long haired ladies and I use it on my ends. Grapeseed is actually better for that. I have a small jar on my desk at work and I put it on my cuticles a couple of times a day and sometimes use it as a hand lotion. It's fantastic for frying. I do a blend of refined coconut oil and canola for that. It replaces hydrogenated shortening for baking. Shortening is terrible for you. It also is useful for getting labels off jars.

I use coconut oil combined with a raw egg and some mayo on my hair then let it sit wrapped in plastic wrap for at least and hour and shampoo and condition. I do this about every very 2 weeks, but sometimes weekly depending on how hard I am in my hair.

Coconut oil is the best for hair. It's not called the King of natural conditioners for nothing.

I have a big jar of organic Coconut oil!

Totaly amazing! twice a month I put it in on my hair and leave it overnight or for a few hours!

The best thing! I recommended it highly for the hair.

Been using coconut oil masks for hair and scalp for a while. Read an article here and switched to homemade masks with coconut oil and avocado. Works fine for me and I love the smell. As OP said, you won't need perfume anymore :)
Though skin detox and daily supplement sound like a neat idea to me. But teeth pulling? OMG.

Having tried coconut oil and other things, the best I've found so far is actually a mix of two egg whites beaten with a tablespoon of coconut oil. As with everything, YMMV

I used it for my hair, and I am very happy with the results (My ends became less dryer). By the way is it possible to use the same oil for cooking? (I have "virgin" coconut oil)
Yes, but I prefer refined for cooking because virgin has a slight taste to it. I like eggs fried in coconut oil better than in butter. The fat really intensifies the flavor of the eggs and I digest coconut better than any other fat out there.
