I think he should do it anyway. Then on April 1st he should hack the Lounge and put a fez on anyone who posts a head shot. :p
Mexico's April 1st is December 28. "Día de los inocentes", or "day of the naïve", it's called.
That's sooner.

Let me save you some trouble. Torrential rains here today: time for indoor headwear. Do you think there's a thread in it? "What fez are you wearing today?":D
Both fezzes are of my own making.

I think I'd be wearing a Steur fez today if you went into production Stefan. They look good to me. You might prefer a Fedora, Bowler, Homburg, but you rock those fezzies, too. Cudos [emoji4]

Gentlemen, thanks! If you find yourself with a few days off this month, it's a nice project to keep you occupied for a day or two. Here's the "how to" link:
https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/so-i-got-me-this-fez-see.52862/page-8#post-2305365
And the posts thereafter too. Very satisfying work.
The FEZ thread is in need of some attention (but I haven't found another nice fez of late to add).

Oh, great. Now I want a fez! No, now I want two fezzes (sp?). A year ago I was sure I’d never want a derby and now I have one and I’m on the hunt for another. I thought I’d never want a fez and now I can see myself wearing both of those. This place is dangerous.

You pull that look off with ease.

It would look more authentic on him if he had a little more melanin in his skin, but he looks alright for a güero. Right, Daniel?

Thanks, gentlemen. The fez comes highly recommended (if only for the enjoyment of family members). And it is one piece of headwear you can wear indoors without breach of hat-etiquette. The other would be a smoking cap, preferably to be worn with a velvet dinner jacket. I have a smoking cap, now all I need is the dinner jacket. We northern types have more use for velvet than for melanin:D

This is what happens when I shave my beard. It goes in stages and requires many pics, because who knows if I (or my lady friend) will have six+ weeks of patience next? This is my early 20th century (1920s?) Knox vented derby, in the study, with the candlestick (uh, candlestick not pictured)...

C. W. Borchert Berlin W., 58cm, 145 grams possibly late 1920s early 1930s. This Stiff Felt is from the same seller + original owner of the P. & C. Habig Wien "Special", P. & C. Habig's "Special Qualität" Reine Handarbeit Berlin Friedrichstr. 82a Soft Felt. I know Rehfus & Cie. Kehl a. Rhein was a supplier for C. W. Borchert Berlin W so could have been made by them. It has some C. G. Wilke characteristics so they could also be a possible source. The overall quality is very high and it wears comfortably.

According to this 1913 ad Rehfus & Cie (Kehl a. Rhein) made hats under the Borchert Marke.

Dunn & Co, mint condition, Ebay find. They´re not that common in my vulgarly huge head size, but this one fits perfectly. I don't know if the tag "10/83" says anything about the hat's age, maybe I could get assistance from one of the experts present?

Now I just need a decent Lock & Co, a nice looking Bates and a Dunn Perfectus, all in 7 3/8, and I'd regard my collection as complete. (Yeah right, THAT's gonna happen...)
