Hi! I purchased my first peacoat with the help of this forum :) It is a 1970 mint condition Kersey wool peacoat. I feel that the peacoat feels pretty well except for the sleeves :/

Could anyone give me some input about the sleeves? Are they passable or should I try to go to a tailor?

Thanks!

I'd have them taken out.
Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought haha :( Is that normally possible? I'm pretty clueless as to what can be done with sleeves.

Also, besides the sleeves, does the fit look okay? Was thinking of just doing sleeves if possible.

Thanks!

For a vintage coat the fit is "passable" .. certainly the sleeves are short but that's what makes vintage intriguing.
A tailor /seamstress can tell you if there is extra material folded in the sleeve to add some length..
