Question: is Banjo Paterson and Leisure time the same hat just with a different band? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere maybe one of you gents can tell me.

The Banjo Paterson has a crown height of 114.3mm (4-1/2")
The Leosure Time has a crown height of 100mm (3.93")
The brim for both is 70mm.

Also: the Banjo Patterson is made of the more expensive Heritage felt, the Leisure Time the standard Imperial felt.
Because of that, I've always felt that the Leisure Time is essentially the same hat for less money. I just got a Leisure Time earlier this year, and it's awesome!

That looks a lot like the shape of the Akubra Riverina I bought way back in 2008; it was an 'exclusive' model to Everything Australian, I think, in the same way as the Federation to the Hattery. The band was, of course, irrelevant to me as I replaced it with a self-wound pugaree. Classic, big-game hunter, safari look, been worn in India and China both, in extremes of heat and rain and taken it all in its stride. THe Akubra bush-type hats are great for that.
I have an old Leisure time but I don't like the colours now on offer, so I'm thinking of a Banjo Paterson Problem is I have to order online and would love to see images of these hats side by side - I'm not sure what difference if any the higher crown of the Banjo would make to the proportions which I think ae perfect for me on the Leisure time..
