As Alan mentioned earlier, Mitchell Leather money clip wallets are great. I switched to front pocket wallets a long time ago, but was wearing out the run of the mill store wallets I bought. Fortunately I worked only blocks from Mitchell Leather. I met David while visiting the store and he is a great guy. I purchased a money clip wallet and still use it. It's probably 6-8 years old or more.
I have stretched mine out by adding too many cards, but it's still holding up. While it's meant to be minimalistic and hold maybe 6-8 cards and some bills, I have mine stuffed with 27 cards and up to 10-12 bills at one time. This has stretched the leather to the extent that I can't take too many of the cards out without the slots being too loose around the other cards. By no means am I knocking the product. This is entirely my fault. My plan is to buy a new one soon and go back to a minimal number of cards.

Might be worth trying to put that one, empty, under some very heavy books for a bit. Flattening it enough might put back some of the 'tightness' (I know what I'm trying to articulate here - I'm not doing it well, I hope you follow).

I've been using a Filson Packer wallet for about 6 years now. The first one I bought had the outer seams come apart about 3-4 years into it, but Filson replaced it with a new one (I guess they can't repair wallets or at least that area of stitching). The second wallet started to fail at the exact same area about 6 months ago so I sent it back to Filson again. Only this time they would't cover the repair or replacement since they claimed it wasn't the original wallet. Once they sent it back I took some contact cement and fixed it up good as new. FWIW, their current wallet designs are different than mine and the seams that come apart are no longer there. Something tells me I wasn't the only one with the issue. Anyway, once this one goes (and it'll be a few years from now at the least), I'll probably get another one.

Wound up getting a couple of Filson Wallets. One new off of the Bay and one on sale from the company. Currently using, breaking in the tan one bought off of ebay. Well made but not enough slits. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I suspect that I eventually will have t look at lining my wallets in RFID protective stuff, though fortunately to date I've been able to still order my bankcard without the security- threatening, so-called 'contactless' facility. Next step once they stop that is to find out where the antennae is in the cards, as apparently drilling a small hole through it can kill that without affecting the regular chip and pin.

My wife tried to convince me not to use the "tap to pay" feature, as the card might be copied. I explained to her that you do not need to "use" the card for it to be copied, like the new passports (no options there) they can be "read" at any time if someone has the tools to do so.
Use "protection" if you can!

Yes, this is why I fought the bank to get a card without it in it, though alas I foresee a day when they will force it on us all. All they have to do to properly secure it is required that a PIN must be entered *every* time the card is tapped, but I guess that doesn't suit the "Give me Convenience of Give Me Death!" brigade.

You are not wrong there. How many bills do you get where there's no other option of payment other than credit/debit card or Direct Debit? My phone is on pay as you go simply because BT, surcharged cash payments. Talking of surcharge, look at your utility bills, is there not a paying in advice slip on them? So if you pay directly into their account why do they still surcharge you? I challenged that, got a refund and now pay cash at the post office for the same as if I paid direct debit. Worst offenders for stipulating payment methods are the insurance companies, I'm going to challenge Aviva when my renewal comes up in April.

I recently (okay, about four months ago) bought a new wallet from PICARD. It's a German company from the 1920s. They make very nice leather-goods (I also have a bag from Picard which I use).
I have one of their mens' long wallets, in coffee-brown leather and it zips up all the way around. It has loads of compartments for receipts, cash, cards, a zip-up coin-pocket, etc. It's quite chunky, I won't deny it, so not the sort of thing you'd want to cram into your pocket, but it fits into a jacket pocket, and it fits into a satchel or briefcase easily. And because the whole thing zips up, there's exactly 0 chance of anything falling out or getting lost (which happened at least twice in my previous wallet, and I nearly lost two very important cards!!).
