A Happy and Healthy New Year

I’ve been memorizing those who past on in 2006, I chose to remain sober this New Years eve, I don't know if its my owe immorality of days long gone, or just feeling sad for those no longer here, pity really to think about it, death always brings new thoughts, ideas, I guess just something to give thanks for while theres still time on this earth, reflect. Yes end this year on a positive note, for I am thankful for being around, I wish all a Happy New Year! Prosper to new heights.

Happy New Year !

A quick search on Google uncovered quite a few happy new year threads, problem was, they were all dated so although this is from 2006 welcoming 2007, it doesn't say so. Amazingly there are still a good number of the members who have posted on this thread, still around, so that's worth celebrating.
We shall be celebrating the same way that we always do, on the dance floor. Really looking forward to the gig too, last year I was still recovering from the hip replacement that I had about six weeks previously.
This community makes my day, it can be addictive, but I do try to limit my viewing, or I might wind up like the kids who spend every waking hour glued to their phones.
Your input makes The Lounge a very special place. It's informative, witty, jocular, feisty and fun. I love it, even the cut & thrust as long as it's within the boundary of the rules. It takes a while to get used to communicating without the presence of body language or eye contact, but that doesn't detract from the daily debates that ebb and flow. Here's wishing you all a very happy new year, wherever you are or whatever you are planning, or not. We shall be at this gig somewhere between the south coast cities of Southampton & Portsmouth.

2007 was a pretty good year, all things considered, or at least the effacing effect of memory makes it seem like it was from the vantage point of the steaming mess that was 2018. Here's hoping that 2019 is less stupid, less cruel, and less hateful than its predecessor.

Interesting you should say that as the OP of this thread, Daisy Buchanan, hasn't been seen since March, 2008.
