Very nice. Did you request the Z from Vanson or is there a vendor out there selling Choppers in the Z? Like TB special-orders Choppers in full CW.
It came as Z150 with the red lining, stock from Vanson as far as I can see. I got it from a guy on ebay. Thurston sells them in full comp weight but without the quilted red lining. If there's one fault it's that the hand warmer pockets are just light cotton, I can feel the stitching at the seams through my fingers, so I'd imagine they'd rip in time, that is if I was wearing it every day and not trying to keep it in rotation lol. The leather pockets they do with the Enfield would have been better.

No kidding. Having a rotation of nice jackets does keep them in pretty good condition, for better or worse. I will check my Chopper to see what lining is used in the hand warmer pockets. I never use those pockets, on any of my jackets. Very cool jacket, wear it in good health.

Cheers, I'm impressed by the Z150, it's like a lighter comp weight. I doubt it'll develop as well as comp weight does, but the odds of my still having this in ten years are, judging from the past few years, fairly slim

I have heard that Legendary jackets that are made by Schott are way nicer and much better construction than either Legendary or Schott alone tend to make. As you own one, and @JMax has one on the way Im hoping to hear whether this can be confirmed? I have heard and read rave reviews of the Legendary/Schott Black Stallion which is like a Buco D-pocket. Hasnt been made in years and never comes up in size 36-38 but if ever it does it shall be mine. Looks killer and if the legend of them being much thicker and better stitched than the average Schott or Legendary is true...

I've been a long time lurker/seldom poster in this thread. Mainly because I don't have many badass, vintage jackets. Plus, I don't really have the frame to fill them out (perhaps I should ask ton to train me?)

Anywho. Here's my X-Men First Class (Magneto) jacket from Wested. Probably a little too long in the sleeves.

54C27EDC-2158-4D80-AED9-A03446229B0B.png Seriously the Legendary/Schott Black Stallion was like the one Schott made jacket in the modern era that was hands down a thing of beauty and always heard it was like 4oz hide and stitched to the nuts. User here had one. In this thread here

Here’s a crappy screen grab of it. If anyone ever comes across one in decent condition in size 36 or 38 I will cut you in on a finders fee! @Mysteryo can you start a review thread on your Trojan? And @JMax do one on your CHP when it arrives?

As far as I know-I owned 2 Black Stallion, I "Beck 333 Northeaster", and the Trojan- they are bothe great jacket, but to me , the quality, the stitching, are standard Schott's. You will find their Schott branded, or YKK hardware (no NOS Talon or interesting vintage zipper).
Their Black Stallion was a nice and confortable repro. They used to have this horsehide, not to shiny, but consistent and heavy. At a certain point, they changed their hide to a lighter, shinier, glossy plastic HH. I learned it the hard way: I had a regular Black stallion that was too big on me (yes, their sizing is a problem), so i sold it to change to one size down, and I received a jacket with a completely different hide, as discribed above. I was desappointed, but I keep it because it's a very well made and comfortable jacket, and the pastic aspect (due to tanning process I suppose) makes it a completely waterproof jacket (the aspect is getting better with wear, to be honnest)
It's the same hide they use for their One Star 613 HH (I also have it)

But the Trojan and Beck Repro are made with the previous HH.
