Fine Creek, just arrived after spending 5 days in the mail truck.
Personally, I could not be more impressed. Had high expectations given the price and other jackets I own. Fine Creek met them all. Quality and weight of leather, quality of construction, stitching is perfect, lining is exceptional. Really well done. Attention to detail is very apparent.

I got a Mulholland in a 42 which I got from Melbourne a while back, however I lost a bit of weight over recent months and I took a punt on getting the Caboose from Genco in Japan. I knew that it was a slimmer fit and that I would go down a size. It is an expensive punt to take but I took an educated guess using the size chart compared to the Mulholland. I was pleased with the results but no room for layering. Hope that helps.
This custom sized Wested horsehide Firenze came in the mail today. I’m short and stocky so standard sizes don’t fit. This turned out pretty well, I think. I’m planning to dye it black, as my Raiders is already the dark brown horsehide.

Yeah I thought about that. I'm scared though. Not too impatient to wait. Need a misty day to wear it in. It's either warm and cloudy or sunny and freezing lately.
All my prior aero and new vanson jackets I fully submerged them in a tub of luke warm water, rolled them in a towel to somewhat dry, then wore them for a few hours, then hung to dry. Works like a charm. A couple vanson I even washed in the washer on cold brand new. I have never seen any ill effects. I probably would not use hot and not dry. I think even on aeros site they talk about the hot water submersion. Pop pop pop
That turned out exceptionally well! Jacket looks far better imho. I can see the dye on one hand. Necromorph! LOL.Dyed it black last night. Used Fiebing’s Pro dye, which is a pigmented oil rather than liquid infused with pigmented powder... it went on easily. Brushed on with a wool dauber and then rubbed it with an old t shirt. Oiled and waxed morning after. Also wearing my old brown Noconas that I dyed black as the test subject, having never done it before.
Should have worn rubber gloves. Leather isn’t the only kind of skin it will dye!

How is it unzipped? I personally don’t care for my belt to be exposed and those certainly don’t look like low rise jeans...sometimes a short jacket is camouflaged a bit by just wearing it open. Sleeve length looks spot on as does the fit everywhere else. I wonder if JL cut the Worn out West jackets shorter at the vendors request...
