In the sweatshirt thread, someone -- I think it was @ProteinNerd -- recommended the American Giant brand. I had never heard of American Giant. I subsequently purchased two canvas jackets and a sweatshirt from American Giant. All three are well made. Thanks for the tip PN (or whoever it was).

Couldn't agree more. I picked up the American Giant Moto sweatshirt/jacket this year and love it. Well built and heavy. Reminds me of my old college Champion sweatshirts from late 80's, early 90's.

So I put this CR an original 1950s beck 666 rs. Up for sale because I have a 10 inch drop, 44 inch chest, 34 inch waist, and it was to much to overlook. Any way it sold to Diamond Dave! Here is his e mail.
(John, I have looked over the beck. Wow, that is in really good shape for its age. I will definitely purchase this from you after the pattern making is complete. It fits like it was made for me.) He told me he was sending it to john Chapman to do the pattern making. We spoke yesterday. So I dont know if john, and dave are going to make reproductions from the pattern but dave is. Thought I would share. Pictures of jacket, and pics showing the drop issue. Previous pics, as dave is in possession of it already.

Colin G - I know that board [emoji106]

I was a skater in the early eighties. I rode a Zorlac Craig Johnson. They were great times

Old skater here also. I was a Schmitt Stix guy and yes, great times indeed. I collect NOS decks from the 80s and still roll around a bit here and there. Nothing crazy anymore that is for sure.

That looks great, what a marvellous endorsement for the G1. It's funny how some people can wear a jacket and it just looks effortless and right. Often what I see is the jacket wearing the owner. And that includes me.

Thank you for your very nice compliments. I do love this jacket and often wonder what stories it could tell. It's the first leather jacket of quality I've ever purchased and it will always remain in my rotation.
