I'm really liking the Stylemaster. Had to steam and wet it a bit to get the tight pinch and nicer bash. I went one size up an it fit perfect. The color is very handsome. The crown is smaller than what I really love, but in all it's nice addition to my burgeoning collection.

New inderect sunlight pictures of the Stylemaster, I wet it and steamed the hat to work on the front pinch and bash. The felt is super pliable but not floppy. It's a work in progress.

Looks good on you Samuel. I'm not a big fan of the Stylemaster. Just too little crown height and too much taper.

I love my stylemaster in moonstone, it works with everything!
i just sold a stylemaster in charcoal i found it too dark for my tastes, Both great hats though!

I've always enjoyed my Stylemaster. Pairs well with a Smith & Wesson 38 and a nice cup of Irish coffee. Variety and self protection is important in a hat collection.

Excellen choices Brent. My 2 current handgun options at the moment are a S&W 38 or my Springfield XP 45. Hats & Handguns.....so many choices. Concealed carry for me is easier with the 38.

There is no easy answer to that question Pellie. At my age now I certainly prefer my hats to guns. I greatly admire other countries whose cultures outlaw them and where there is no need to own them. Sadly the US has not evolved to that point yet. Maybe someday, but it wont be in my lifetime.

Ahh, is that a 642? Never a fan of the J-frames, but they are light and easy to carry. I was thinking something more noir...the smokey PI’s office with the leggy secretary.

Yeah me too, but that's all I got brother. It's easy for my wife to use in case of emergency. She can't / won't use the .45

I competed a couple years and one of the stages was a limited to “backup guns” with a 2” max barrel length. It was a ten shot stage, so we all had to do one reload so there wasn’t a disadvantage using a 5-shot. I had a tricked out K-frame (Model 10) and every time I competed I got my clock cleaned by a guy using a J-frame. I tried and tried to shoot a Model 36 (J-frame), but I just couldn’t be consistent with it. Most all the time it’s the shooter not the gun.

The alloy frame 5-shots are light and easily worn and concealed; your wife is well-heeled.

Now my buddy shot a Colt Detective Special, but we all know that Colt revolvers after the 1873 SAA aren’t to be considered.

I Think this is Moonstone? The ebay listing called it Bluegrass Green.

That looks too dark in the sun for Moonstone. My guess is that it's Carbon Grey or the Bluegrass Green.
