I found this at my local vintage store today. First day out for the spring and summer clothes.

Forgot one a few days ago. I was in a bit of a slump with the English hats, but the Woodrow and this one are nice new ones.
James Robinsons&Sons of Romiley, England homburg in black. Size 61 with the brim at 6cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. I never heard of this hatter before, but the company was founded in 1880. Could not find out when it closed, but I supect it was out of business by the mid sixties (as most of the Englsih makers were). This one dates from the late fifties to early sixties I believe. Lovely hand to the felt and well finished. It didn't like side pinches dry creased, so I left it without for now.
Romiley is located in the same area as Stockport and Denton, the center of British felt hat manufacture.

Recent Find: Stetson Wafer edged brim (2 1/8). 2 inch unique back bowed black/gray ribbon with charcoal interior.
Wonderful ribbon and vented liner.

Thanks Doug and Stefan. Spring is around the corner, so it was nice to have a new Panama show up just now. I could use a couple of more boaters, but other than that I think my straw hat collection is pretty much filled out.

Bates Hatter “Allegro 214”
This trim little green hat arrived today. I wasn’t expecting much as it was made in Colombia and just didn’t look like much of anything. I was surprised when it arrived to find the open crown was 5.5” (moderate taper), and the brim is an honest 2.5”. I was expecting the brim to be about 2” based on the seller’s photos so a pleasant surprise. A bigger surprise was how soft, thin, dense, and eminently moldable the felt is. I was going to reshape the brim, but I kind of liked the deep flanged/high sides look. The crown takes any dry crease I care to try and goes back to open without any trace of the crease. The felt really blew me away. It’s a keeper.

Stetson Royal Whippet. It’s not my size so it will be headed off to eBay. It’s in fabulous condition and I need to flip it for a profit to make up for some of my recent misadventures in hat purchases.

There is a bit of a lazy "~" curve in the brim from edge to crown in the front. (Not visible as I snapped the pics quick before it popped back into this shape.) For kicks I tried it brims up but it's some serious flange, so looks like I'll need some steam to reshape the brim after it comes out of the freezer.
I feel the neutral grey will make this a versatile hat. Even though it is monochromatic it somehow seems to make the the bow treatment pop and be the main focal point. Looking forward to making this a rotation regular.

Just got my new Sterkowski.
The reviews on it were good enough for it to serve as a beater/everyday/test hat.
I've been a bit squeamish to wear my Stetson out, but I won't feel quite as bad if something happens to a $60 hat.
The fit is ok, but I may play around with shaping the brim to better suit my tastes

Optimo, extra light camel, size 57.25, brim 2 3/8". Custom made so that I can align the pinch properly over the nose on my apparently crooked head. This is my new favorite hat, ever. A proper English Bowler! I like it on you Max. Now for the extra sunny days, a boater needs to be on your radar. Great liner, it appears to have some substantial age. Hard to date Dunn & Co. hats, they continued to make a classic style for a long period of time.Dunn & Co.

I have a boater already, but I haven't picked it up from Ignacio's shop yet.
The Dunn and Co. Has a perforation on the top of the liner with a small metal grid to let the heat out. It works!
