Hand made Mountaineer belts

I am offering hand made sturdy leather belts. I call these “mountaineer belts”. They will serve you well on all your adventures from grabbing a cup of coffee to ascending one of the 7 summits.
I stand behind these hand crafted items. I use only the best leather you can buy in the United States. Full grain 100% vegetable tanned Harness and Skirting leather. Both sourced from two of the last remaining tanneries that mainly focus on Vegtible tanning done right here in the USA.

These belts I make are between 4.5-5.5mm thickness. Strong, but because of the leather, not too stiff or uncomfortable. I can customize these to your desires including buckle types and finish and color of leather.
I have three prices all based on what type of leather is used and if I hand dye or not.
Below are the prices:

Hermann Oak old world harness leather (russet or antiqued russet)
Russet- $70.00
Antiqued russet-$75.00

Wickett&Craig Harness leather. Two colors
Natural tan and medium brown
I can dye the natural color to your choice.
Natural and brown $70.00
Dyed $75.00

Wickett&Craig skirting leather
Russet $60.00
Dyed $65.00

I do have some thinner leather in a reddish brown called walnut and some in a coffee color.
$50.00

Ask me about multiple belt purchase discounts.

Shipping within US is $7 for one belt and $10 for two.

These are entirely made by hand. You can’t walk in the store and get one like these.

Here is a link showing a few of the belts I have made for customers

PM me for details on how you can order one. I can customize these to your liking regarding buckle and color.

What I usually do is this. Once one is interested I ask them the details. I have a few nickle plated buckles I keep on hand and you can check some of the belts I have made out here on my instagram

From there you can see some other ones too. But I can do brass or nickle plated.
I can do rounded, squared, heel bar or center bar options and would talk with you on that selection when the belt was ordered.

As for screws/rivets I use double faced dome rivets rather than Chicago screws. Here is why. Most people are not going to change a buckle out. Not all buckles are created equal anyway so even if you wanted to change out the buckle you might find the inside width of your new buckle just doesn’t fit right even though it’s supposed to be the same width.
I cut my straps out once I know what buckle I will use for that strap.

But I certainly can add these if you wanted. It’s your belt and I will customize to what you like. I will say I wear what I make and never have had a rivet fail. They are a bear to even drill out sometimes.
I back this up with two hand stitch tacks which close the leather a bit and add some additional strength and it’s my signature. I don’t like belts that are stamped with a company label.

Thanks!

I am hard on belts and have broken rivets before. Figured a Chicago screw is easy to replace just in case, that is all.

Colin, Here is a sample I made up using Chicago screws. I have some nice tapered capped ones in antique brass coming too.

bumping this. just re remind you, these belts are completely made by hand from start to finish. you will get one hand cut belt to your choice of width, I will make it with the buckle of your choice (to be discussed once order is placed), I will color it any color you like and it will be the last belt you need to purchase unless you want one in a different color. I use only the best leather out there available here in the States. Hermann oak and Wickett and Craig.
